Today 6/1 Crystal
Yeah, Nagito. What's up?
[No, he doesn't sound bored. What are you talking about?]
no subject
I was hoping that we could start my lessons in cooking. I have a lot to talk to you about anyway so it takes care of two things at once.
no subject
But hanging out with a friend and getting to do something he likes is good!]
Yeah, that sounds fine by me. My place or yours? Any clue what you want to make? We should probably start with something simple, but I'm up to try anything.
[Except lemons. No lemons.]
no subject
Ah as for what I wanted to try making. Just an omelet. Nothing too complicated.
[He wants to reclaim some of his independence. That and it cuts down on expenses to know how to cook his own meals. That and as an exchange he has a lot to tell Lloyd.]
no subject
Hey, do you... Do you need me to bring a healer? I'm sure I could drag Zelos along. Or maybe Jude.
I'll bring over the ingredients for omelettes then. Give me about half an hour. You don't mind if Noishe comes too, do you?
no subject
[He needs to tell his doctor that his theory has proven true. He can feel the difference in his breathing. Phase 2 is notibly easier. His mind is another story but his voice is different too. Almost like his voice when he temporarily heals himself.]
no subject
[And now he's more than just a little worried. Because Lithia had been given a Spyrite for the problem with her Spiria. And Lloyd had considered trying to work with Jude for Colette. And those were life-threatening issues.]
We'll be there soon.
[Despite living a good distance away, Lloyd and Noishe are knocking on Komaeda's door fifteen minutes later, groceries in hand.]
no subject
I was his first case for it due to the nature of the diseases plaguing my body. Raijin keeps it from getting any worse. Ah, I'm sorry for scaring you.
[He shuts the door behind them and walks slowly to the kitchen.] But it won't be that way for much longer. Peromei and I have an idea for my own cure.
no subject
Peromei's the one who gave me the idea of the Memory Tree Petals for Colette's cure. She's pretty helpful. And nice.
[He follows the other boy to his kitchen and sets down the groceries. Noishe nudges the door closed and pads over to lay down in a cleared spot of floor.]
If you need help, you'll let me and Colette know, right? Are your friends from home helping you?
no subject
To bounce all the offered hope against that will hyper charge my own. [He smiles for Lloyd. That hope of his is very strong these days.]
Peromei wants to help everyone as much as she can. Just to help and to be helped. You should go talk to her again sometime. She heard the news about Colette but, she would be happy to talk to you again.
Ah that reminds me...did you notice how this island seems to have a lot of 'protection' devices and services?
no subject
[He's noticed the increase in Nagito's positivity and he's all for it. Just, that sounds really complicated.
But it does sound like it'll work. And he's happy about that.]
Yeah, I'll make sure to visit her soon. Maybe take Colette with me too. Last time I went, I took her a gift. Do you know if she eats anything? We can take her that.
no subject
Anyway. I'm ready to begin. ...I think I'll be able to explain rituals after this.
no subject
[Was he not supposed to say anything? Too late!
Lloyd comes over with the groceries and takes them out of the bag.]
I'm gonna tell you how to do it and not interfere. If you have questions, I'll answer but Kratos once told me that it's easier to learn by doing and he's right.
First, we'll need a pan to cook in and a bowl.
Dear gmail stop losing my shit
My master said something similiar. Is Kratos your teacher too?
[He keeps wooden bowls in his house. If he had an episode or his luck swung its claws the clean up would just be the fallen contents.]
no subject
No. He's my dad, my birth father. He... He's a jerk sometimes, but what he says is usually right.
The Professor is my school teacher. And I learned to use my swords by myself. Kratos... He just helped me polish my own skills later on, I guess.
no subject
...ah, I don't much about fathers. I can only tell you what little I know based on my experiences with teachers.
[That should be good enough? Shouldn't it? He really doesn't know how to speak about family.]
Any teacher is a guide of sorts, they point out a path we could follow if we choose to. Or we could alter it to suit us. Aries Mu, showed me a path I'm not fit enough in body to follow just yet.
If I do or not, I'm still deciding on that.
no subject
[Don't worry, Komaeda. You're not required to talk about family shit.]
Yeah, you're sick. I don't imagine you can do a lot of super physical stuff, right?
no subject
I can do it once I'm healed but, I'll need to train up to it. It surpasses normal human limits. ...tell me, what do you know of gods? [He studies the bowl on his table and is grateful he dodges the family talk. Nothing he wants to say about that.]
no subject
We don't have gods on Aselia. Bunch of Summon Spirits that have to have pacts so that the summoner can use, sure, but the Goddess Martel was... just a girl who helped our world and the story got messed up somewhere down the line. Probably because her brother wanted it to be.
So, other than that, I don't know anything about them.
no subject
[Komaeda sets the pan on the burner and follows Lloyd's guidance. As he's mixing the eggs, milk, and spices together he says in a calm voice,]
That's not so in his world. The gods are real, and long ago they went to war with each other in a time called the Age of Myth. One god defended humanity, who used to be but a whisper apart from being like gods themselves.
The goddess my master serves, is one and the same. The Greek Goddess, Athena. Known to most realms that hold her as the goddess of war and wisdom.
[He pauses to check the pan as he adds.] Considering what he's capable of, and I would know I fought against him during the possessions...I shudder to think of what his gods can do.
no subject
[He watches as Komaeda follows instructions well and lets him continue to try and gauge when it's ready to start actually cooking, meanwhile thinking.]
Just because these gods are strong doesn't mean that if they're too... what's that word I heard... oppressive that they shouldn't be taken down. No one has the right to keep others down. No one.
no subject
...I assume the pan is almost ready.
Anyway, to explain - his power can split the sky or ground. With his fist. I was very lucky that even possessed he didn't outright attack. [Komaeda pauses to stare at the pan again as he adds a touch amused.] Both far too powerful people I've had to tangle with had no desire to fight unless attacked first, actually.
With the exception of when Hinata was possessed.
no subject
[Please don't burn it, Nagito. Please.]
I don't know anyone that.... [He stops as he thinks about what Mithos accomplished, even with help and frowns.] You know, what. I do. That's the kind of person my friends and I have to fight, the one ultimately responsible for why Colette was so sick.
