[What a fat bird, but it looks pretty cute too. After retrieving the letter, Lloyd looks around until he finds a few crackers from his lunch to share with the messenger. The script is so neat that it's almost painful. It reminds him a little of Zelos's handwriting, if he's honest.

After reading the note, he smiles and looks for a piece of paper to jot a reply down to whom he thinks the thank you was from.]

You're welcome. I don't know you or Sonia very well, but Nagito's been a good friend to me since I got here. I know that you two are from the same world and school, so I figured that I'd at least get you guys something on your birthday. I know that it can be hard when you're not on your own world and something like that comes up.

I hope you both enjoyed the party and that Junko didn't show up to ruin it. I know she has a habit of doing that sometimes.

And, you know, if you ever need anything made, you could keep me in mind.

[Hey, he has a dog and Noishe likes to get treats too. Especially after doing anything that might be seen as helpful to Lloyd. So, treating the bird's no big deal. When the avian treat-monster returns, Lloyd pats its head as he reads the letter and breaks off a piece of cookie that was made by Colette.

Realize that you are being given a delicious treat, bird. Seriously.]

I've heard stories about what she does to you guys. I don't approve of it, but that's between you all. I'm sure you can all hold your own against her.

I generally make weapons, but jewelry's something I've started to do a lot since I got here. Did you have something specific in mind?

Halberds aren't normally my specialty, but I'm sure something could be arranged. Do you have a basic idea of what you're really after.

As for what's up with your bird, he started looking like that after I gave him a cookie made by my girlfriend. Is that odd?

Just a well-tempered blade of a moderate weight and length. Function is more important than form.

I usually don't let him eat sweets intended for people, so he must be especially happy.

In this letter is a few quick sketches of Lloyd's ideas for her blade.]

Function's good, but an ugly weapon's still ugly. Tell me which style of blade you want and how tall the person using it is. That way I can have a handle made as well.

Oh, well, that's good. I give my dog treats all the time, so I didn't think the bird would be bad off with something like that. He was kinda insistent actually.

The bird is very insistent when it comes to food of any kind. That's how he's gotten to his current state. But as long as he can fly. . .

Metal haft will make it heavier at first but after training, it'll last longer. I can make it out of wood if you're too worried about the weight though.

Well, I'll make sure to not give him too much if he keeps stopping by. I mean, I only have so many cookies after all. And if he has to keep flying back and forth, I think he's working off all of the stuff I gave him.

As for Makoto, it's my fault for spoiling him in the first place. He's also very fond of being petted, so now that you've fed him, he'd probably be amenable to that.

[No offense meant. It's not like he thinks she's less because she's a girl. In fact, between Presea and Colette, he has a bit of a healthy fear of girls who are stronger than him. Even Sheena's got strengths he can't match.]

All right. Metal haft it is. If you need some help swinging it around, let me know. I'm a swordsman as well, though I don't spend as much time fighting as of late.

I'll make sure not to tell Colette about the bird then. Otherwise, he might end up waddling to deliver your messages next time.
